Rosalind Raven Counselling

Welcome to Rosalind Raven Counselling

Thank you for visiting my website. I appreciate you taking the time to explore how I can support you on your mental health journey.

I know from my own experience how daunting it can be to start on a therapeutic journey. It is a huge new world to navigate, and it can be difficult to know how or where to start. I have been where you are now. My own journey into mental health support began from a desire to understand myself better. When I embarked on my studies to become a counsellor, I realized I needed a more personal connection—so I began my own therapy journey. This experience empowered me and deepened my passion for helping others find their way. Supporting clients as they explore their own paths is both a privilege and a calling for me.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means I adhere to their strict Ethical Framework to ensure ethical, respectful, and confidential practice. Please feel free to visit www.bacp.co.uk/ethical-framework for more information.

I offer both short and long-term counselling options, available face to face, based in Sidcup, London, or online via Zoom (exclusively for clients residing within the UK). My approach is person-centred, believing that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to facilitate positive change by empowering you and respecting your autonomy throughout our sessions

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”

-Carl Jung

“In therapy, we help people confront what they wish to avoid, revealing their true selves and opening the door to growth”

Irving D Yalom

The benefits of counselling can be truly life-changing. It offers a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain clarity, and develop healthier ways to cope with life's challenges. Through counselling, many clients experience increased self-awareness, improved relationships, reduced anxiety, and a greater sense of confidence and purpose. Whatever your reasons for seeking support, I am here to help you work towards these positive outcomes. I will support you in discovering your inner strength, understanding your experiences, and developing practical strategies to navigate your life with more ease and resilience. As a person-centred counsellor, I work collaboratively with you, blending different therapeutic techniques to meet your unique needs. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insight into your behaviours and relationships, and develop effective coping strategies.

If you feel I might be the right person to work with, I invite you to use the contact form below to arrange a free 20 minute consultation call. Taking that first step today can open the door to a more confident, balanced, and fulfilling life. Your future self will thank you.
